God killed thousands in the bible - the devil hardly anyone. Maybe the world has everything backwards. Maybe the devil is good and god is the bad guy.

Hi XXL,

Are we going here again? I will leave off with the drowning of babies part as we have already had that discussion.

Lucifer opposes God, because he didn't get his way. Not only did God love Lucifer, but he allowed him to put forth an apposing plan to be possible ratified over God's own plan or will. Lucifer opposes God out of the failure of his attempt. When he was not successful unto the end of placing himself above his father in glory he rebelled. He couldn't accept that failure and as such he vowed to do all he could to thwart the children of men in their effort of progression that would bring honor unto their Father.

It was for this rebellion that he was cast out and will eventually be bound to be a son of perdition. God was ethical in every sense of mans definition. It was Lucifers choice.

You may be right! - on the OTHER hand, if you believe the Bible, Satan helped God screw up poor Job's life in the Book of Job, so Satan might actually be working FOR God as an undercover agent: you know, the guy who listens to your sad sob story about how mean the Boss is, then goes running to the Boss to rat you out! But I hope you're right, and Satan is on OUR side...

I'm sure that could fit into the actual description of Lucifer's fall. (Many think Satan and Lucifer are not the same though)
I can't believe that all those angels just stood around while God went off on his pets like a sadistic 9 year old, and plans to torture a good # of them for eternity. That's the power of indoctrination for ya.

according to islam god instructed satan to bow down to adam and satan was egotistical and did not want to do so. satan was not an angel he was a jinn. look up the meaning of jinn. angels did not have free will, it is impossible for an angel who does not have free will to disobey god. satan felt better then mankind.

My theory is that Satan proposed a computer upgrade that didn't go well, so God sent him to hell.
