We are constantly been thrown into the physical stimulation be on TV, Newspaper, Ads, Interaction, conversation with opposite sex.
It is more than likely than one sees a undertone of sex or lewidness or sensuality from cradle to grave.
Look at TV, Books, Sports, News, Media, Clothing, and so on
If it is not sex or sexy .. then nothing happens.
So the debate is what is beyond sex

there is a lot beyond sex, there is love, but most people confuse the 2 or don't know how to seperate the 2, thiere is family and friends, there is religon if your religous, there are hobbies, sports, anything. but our culture loves sex and anything sex related. When you get a litlle older sex doesn't mean as much...but its still there. it's part of life, but when all you can think of or all that matters is sex then you have an issue

The debate is not what is beyond sex but rather what is the meaning of sex. Or, do you want a perpetual worship to a short - term experience with sex --- or are you looking to find the true beauty of sex.

"The Central Place of Sexuality in God’s Plan

Sex is by no means a peripheral issue. In fact, Pope John Paul II says the call the “nuptial love” revealed through our sexuality is “the fundamental element of human existence in the world.” It doesn’t get more important than that. He even insists that we can’t understand Christianity if we don’t understand the TRUTH and MEANING of our sexuality.

From the beginning to the end, the Bible itself is a story about marriage. It begins in the Book of Genesis with the marriage of Adam and Eve, and it ends in the Book of Revelation with the “wedding of the Lamb” - the marriage of Christ embodies this love. He comes as the heavenly Bridegroom to unite himself forever to his Bride - to us (his Bride).

Yes, God’s plan from all eternity is to “marry” us- draw us into closest communion with himself. God wanted to reveal this eternal plan to us in a way we couldn’t miss, so he stamped it right in our very being as male and female. This means that everything God wants to tell us on earth about who he is, who we are, the meaning of life, the reason he created us, how we are to live, and even our ultimate destiny is contained somehow in the truth and meaning of sexuality and marriage. This is important stuff."

I hear you. I get really sick of the whole "sex as marketing" tool. So boring and lame. But advertisers do this because it's one thing every human being (of age) has in common--an interest in sex. What else caters to everyone's taste? Besides money, not much.

sex is not the only thing. we are just bombarded by it because mainstream america and the world for that fact can relate with it. there are things beyond sex but in order to see these things one must stop focusing on the mainstream.
