A couple days ago, the guy I liked found out that I liked him for sure (thanks to my "friends" bitching behind my back to be popular) He told them that he kinda knew, cuz I was being a bit obvious.. Now he only talks to me on MSN, and even then all he says is "hi". We used to be really close, and talk to eachother a lot. I want to be his friend now, not anything more. I want things to be the way they were. He doesn't know that I know (that he knows) and he is one of these "popular" guys and won't just talk to me......I dont think I have the guts to talk to him face to face.....I can't. I don't want to admit to him, JUST be his friend again....how do I do that?

If you were actually "close" then he wouldn't have backed off.

Look around for other guys and quit paying this guy attention. Guys hate it when women appear needy or desperate.

Hm...i feel that for asking our advice maybe u still have feelings for him. So,firstly u have to relax and start thinking of someone else.Secondly don't talk him on MSN at all.Thirdly if u talk him on MSN tell him that u want his advice for someone else-so u give him the opportunity to tell u something as a friend ;-).Finally,pretend that nothing has happened and "ok i used to like u but...u can handle it.So i leave this idea"...have a good time...:-)

just be your natural self. you cannot force a person to be your friend. be sincere, tell him how you feel. Be frank and tell him your intention of being just a friend, and that you treasure the closeness you had before. At least everything between you and him will be clear. if after that , he still tries to avoid you then it is his problem not yours.
