When my dog had a pd ripped nearly off we went to the vet. You don't want that getting infected!

It does not look like a very serious injury. The biggest problem with injury to the pad is that they take a long time to heal because they are constantly undergoing pressure and friction. If the area does not look infected (hot to the touch, swelling, discharge from the area, bad odor ect.) then you most likely do not need to go to the vet. You should keep the area as clean and dry as you can. Clean the area with a rinse like Chlorhexidine (you can get it at a CVS it is called Hibiclens), you do not want to cover the area up it needs to be open to the air to heal. Watch your dog to make sure he is not licking or biting the area, that will only make it worse and lead to infection. Also try to keep the dog off areas like pavement and only on grass. If that is not possible then keep his walk very short and only for bathroom purposes, if he walks on pavement he will only prolong the healing process and possibly open it back up and you will be back to square one. Every time after the dog goes outside just gently clean the area with the Hibiclens. That area heals slowly, you may want to go to the vet just to get an oral antibiotic to expedite the healing process. Good luck

Alright, first you need to wrap up the paw in a clean t-shirt or something to prevent it from further damage. Then call you vet and let them know that you're on the way. Then get in the car right away and drive your pet there. The best that you can do is prevent further infection until the vets can properly patch it up. Good luck and I hope your dog is okay!

It doesn't sound very serious yet, but if it gets infected it will! Put a zip-lock bag over the paw so he doesn't get any dirt on it, and take him to the vet to have it bandaged, stitched, or whatever he needs. After the vet, I wouldn't take my dog back to the daycare until after it heals up, as you wouldn't want it to get torn up more.

GO TO THE VET. If you can't get there in time then put some sort of band tape around it so it doesn't hang. Not real take that sticks because it'll hurt horribly for the dog trying to take it off. And neosporn is not an option for animals!

I think a trip to the vet is the best option. Pet shops do sell some kind of paw-pad repair stuff for your pet.

Go to the vet it can be sewn, though pads have low blood flow and will heal slowly. The vet can also bandage it up well.Do not let it heal on it's own, it could get infected.

I would get him to the vet just to make sure that it is cleaned properly. How bad is it? If you think he will need stiches to reattach the part of the pad that is hanging off, then he'll need to go to the vet. Make sure you keep the wound clean.
