This is all I could find:

SUNNY spells and scattered showers may sound more like a weather update from Met Éireann but it is, in fact, the latest exhibition at Frank Lewis Gallery in Killarney.

The display, a magical combination of art and poetry, will be officially opened at the Killarney Gallery this Tuesday, February 1, 2005.

Sunny Spells, Scattered Showers is in fact a journey through two minds, artists Rebecca Carroll and poet Mary Kennelly. And this week’s opening will include a poetry reading by Mary and music from accordionist Joe Crowley.

This exhibition of paintings - both originals and prints - by Rebecca Carroll has a poem by Mary Kennelly accompanying each picture, providing art lovers with an insight into what they mean to at least one person.

Texture and colour are the dominant visual element of Rebecca Carroll’s paintings and her work could be tagged as anything from abstract through impressionist and expressionist to realistic. And while Rebecca does not impose a particular interpretation on any of her works, she is inspired by nature and spirituality.

The interpretation, however, is left to the viewer and as part of this very special exhibition one viewer gets to give their own very personal experience of the paintings and what thoughts and feelings they inspire.

And what they inspire Mary Kennelly to write about is as varied as the emotions they conquer. For example ‘Father’s Journey’ which might suggest the birth of a new, richly textured, heavenly body for artist and poet it is at the other end of life.

'Sunny Spells, Scattered Showers' is an unique collaboration with artist Rebecca Carroll. Together they explore subjects as diverse as love, death, nature, spirituality, sexuality, loss and joy.
