OMG take it to the vet right away and read these things.

Then take the puppy to petsmart and talk with an experienced associate. They will tell you everything you need to know.
GOOD LUCK with your new puppy!!!

No worries. If you think you can take care of it try. The first thing you have to do is give it some water. Call the nearest vet and ask him what the best dog food is for puppies. He'll probably ask him to describe it for him. He'll probably tell you how many times to feed him. All dogs are different so if you've had a dog you fed 3 times a day your not going to do that to all dogs. After you feed him make sure he gets a little rest before you try to play with him. If you play with the puppy make sure the toys are safe and that theres nothing he can choke on. When he starts breathing heavily take a break and let him drink some water.

Take it to the vet immediately because he could be mal nourished or have rabies or something else you've never even heard of and make sure that you buy PUPPY food not normal dog food because normal dog food doesnt have some of the nutrients puppies need. Get him a little bed to sleep in because he might not be comfortable on your bed with you and dont leave him out at night or for periods of time over 10 minutes...way too cold for animals right now. Also, get a couple of toys for him for when your away. And most importantly lots and lots of LOVE and playtime with you! Good Luck, and dont worry you'll enjoy him!

Have it checked by a vet and then read up on the breeds that the vet thinks it is to learn what you can and there is a geat book that you can buy that will help with training(i think crate training also is the best way). The book is called ----Dog Problems----by carole lea Benjamin---excsllent book, worth ordering thru book store if they don't have it in stalk or perhaps the library

Get the book puppies for dummies. (NO i'm not being sarcastic.) It's a good guide for puppy behavior, food, training, etc.

Get some good premium puppy food. No by products or corn. And take the little bugger to the vet immediately to get a good exam, worm check, deworming, and shots.

Then don't forget to get him a crate and lots of toys plus a collar, tag and leash.

Good luck w/ him

your first step is the vet. get the pup it's first round of vaccines and find out how old the pup is. make an appointment to have the pup spayed or neutered and finish the remaining sets of vaccines. ask the vet what they reccomend for a good training class and when your pup should be old enough to go to one. this will help you bond with your pet better and teach the pup to respect and listen to you. go get a crate and crate train the pup. this will keep the pup safe when you can't directly watch them. get puppy safe toys, food bowls, leash, collar and a high quality puppy food. ask you vet what different brands the reccomend and then pick one. good for you if you can financially provide and have the time it takes to properly raise this pup. also make sure you have enough time to properly exercise your puppy. take a walk at least twice daily with you pup, this will tire out the pup and help curb any unwanted behavior due to boredom or excess energy.

take it to the vet then go buy it some food or milk depending on what it needs at its age then you will need a collar and leash and you can either buy or make it a bed and toys!for toys any stuffed animals would work and for a bed a blanket would work.im also betting it needs potty trained so you need to teach it! oh ya and thanx for taking care of the puppy although its not mine!

Probably the best thing to do would be to call your local vet. They probably wouldn't charge you anything to suggest a good puppy food for the dog.

I would also make an appointment to make sure that it is healthy.

Other than the professional stuff, give it a warm place to sleep, plenty of water, and lots of attention.

First thing, take it to the vet. Then go buy some good quality food and toys. You will need to house train him by taking him out every hour until he gets the idea of going outside on his own. Good luck and it's great you are deciding to help this litle guy.

Take it to a vet asap to make sure it's healthy. If you decide to keep it,the vet can offer a wealth of advice. If you decide not to keep it they can give you the contact info on the local humane/rescue organizations. Good luck

Like everyone said take it to the vet to get it checked out. Take it to a petsmart they usually have vets in the store. You can get a check up and buy all the supplies for him all at once.
