I seem to get along with girls my age (around 20 or so) but only when there's no attraction (like boyfriend-girlfriend attraction). I tend to get along with girls better than with guys.
Just so you know, I'm NOT GAY. Granted, I've been on one date my entire life, but that's because I'm so shy that I always get too scared to talk to girls I like. Besides, I have very few friends, and they aren't even close friends, just people I talk to at school when I run into them.

You'll make a great boyfriend one day. Don't worry, there's PLENTY of time. Smart women know that the best and most enduring relationships start with friendship. Lust is temporary and fleeting. It's when you have mutual trust and shared valuees that the relationship endures.
Keep being a good friend and, who knows? One of the ladies may start putting the moves on you. You're not the only guy on the planet that has trouble making the first move because he's just too shy.

Eesh! Been there. In fact, I'm *still* there! I'm a pretty shy person, by nature, and have never gotten over it.
But, I've been happily married for almost 25 years.
What happened was that one of my friends who was a girl turned out to be my best friend. So, we'd been hanging around quite a bit; movies, walk to a store, or go to a concert.
I know how naive it sounds, but I never considered it a "date"; it was just being with my friend. Had I actually tried to go on a formal "date," I would have been scared out of my wits -- way too nervous.
So, here's what you might try: Ask one of your friends if she wants to go somewhere, something that's not a big deal, like to get some ice cream or a coffee or something. Just talk, enjoy the company. See if you can feel comfortable that way; and see if *it* feels comfortable.

There is definitely hope. I am with a guy now that sounds the same as you. He only dated once before because he was too shy to ask anyone out etc. He had lots of friends (girls) but was too afraid/shy to look for anything more then that. I had to approach him and once I did he opened up. If you can't work up the nerve, I'm sure one day a woman will see you for the nice guy you are and want to keep you forever!!! Don't give up....women always go for the nice guy after they realize the 'bad boy image' is just a phase!
