Nowadays you can do what you want but personally i wouldnt do it. If we decide on gold then both should wear gold and if you want silver then both should wear silver or you guys can get the sets that have both colors in them, the silver and the gold. I dont like those either but its whatever you guys want and like...Good luck!

My husband's wedding band is made of Tungsten, which is a silver looking metal that never scratches. He wears it nonstop and to the gym and barbells and stuff scrape against it all the time - but it still looks brand new! It's a simple but very wide band - anyone can see if from across the room. I do not believe that the man and woman's bands should match or be part of set. My wedding band is half an inch of tiny diamonds in white gold.

My husband has a gold band and I have a white gold band. I know it's not traditional but we are both happy and don't find it to be the most important thing that our rings match.

Yes, its okay to have separate color bands. My new husband did the same thing. I wanted ours to have something in common. His is white gold and mine is yellow gold but they are the same metal and have the same design on them. You can make them as different or as similar as you like. All that matters is that both of you are comfortable with what you are wearing.

Yes that is perfectly fine. My wife and I are in the same boat. She likes silver and I like gold. So we went to a jeweler and found rings that matched. One in silver and one in gold

It's ok to wear seperate colours if that's what you've both decided, but i think you should go for white gold as it's a more durable material, especially if you go for 18karat which will last you a lifetime and a lifetime it is when it comes to marriage, isn't it?

My wedding set is gold. My husband picked out a two-tone titanium ring that's dark gray. I told him as long as he likes it and will wear it, who cares if they match?

How about a two tone ring? My husband and I both wear two tone yellow/white gold rings. We love them and not alot of people have rings like ours.

Why don't you get silver and gold mixed, it will still match all your jewelry and it will be a piece of each of you forever.
