The first 7 chapters of Leviticus deal with various animal and grain offerings. Tell me how any of that is relevant for today. Lev. 11 mentions clean and unclean foods that God ordained to be eaten or avoided. How is this relevant? Entire seaside communities would be unclean according to these rules.

Lev. 13:45 says that anyone with an infectious disease must live alone, outside the community, and declare himself unclean to any who pass by. Is this relevant nowadays, when we treat people with compassion and give them appropriate medical treatment? Remember, GOD supposedly made these rules, not men, yet we see how stupid, cruel, unworkable, and irrelevant they truly are. Could that be why even Jews no longer follow them?

Lev. 14 gives an elaborate ritual for cleansing a house of mildew. Relevant? No, because these days, we just use bleach and leave the windows open.

And of course, there are many teachings declaring that adulterers, homosexuals, sorcerors, and witches must be burned or stoned to death. There are countries where such laws are still considered relevant, but we call them barbaric.

Not many of the Bible's teachings are truly relevant, and these we can obtain from many other sources since they are universal: don't murder, lie, cheat, or steal, don't bang your best friend's wife, respect other people, be nice to each other.

It’s mostly not. Some (very few) moral lessons are timeless, but for the most part the bible serves as a window to the past (culturally and gives us a look at how ancient peoples thought and interacted with one another).

You hate who you’ve been? That must suck. I can’t imagine the amount of self loathing that must go on inside your head. :(

I don't think they're particularly relevant, excluding the "be nice to people" message that seems to be the only one people ignore.

Basic morality is relevant. Stoneing your wife because she cheated or your kids because they disobeyed you is not.
