I need to board my cat for 2 weeks at my vet's place. My cat is easily stressed out in new environment. Is there any way I can help her to cope with this change?

Since the cat will be with a vet, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The vet knows how to work with animals.

You should play with your cat during the day or find someone to play with it. Make sure she gets tired. I don't mean tired of playing I mean she's tired of having so much fun. Also you should make sure she has enough to eat so she doesn't wake up at night. And if she's easily stressed you should ask your vet for some medication.

Make sure that your kitty will have several familar things with him her?) in the boarding place: a favorite mat, blanket, t-shirt of yours with your scent; favorite little toys, his own food bowl. The vet will also have methods in his cattery to reduce cat stress - discuss it with him.

When I go away I have someone come into my home to care for my furry friend. I can't send them to boarding, they just don't get the care they need. Sorry, but you must do what you must do.

Xanax, crush it up and put it in its food. Nobody has to know. It wont kill it or make it sick. People are just pusssies.
