No, I do not believe everyone does...even dedicated Christians do not always mature to the point of true enlightenment. Conversely, I do not believe that lack of belief can in anyway fall under the scope of true enlightenment. BWD

Enlightenment is a continuous journey rather than a destination to be reached. We are ever evolving as we follow the Path. Allow me a smile for your insightful question and a bow to acknowledge your wisdom in seeking knowledge.
A Monk, now deceased, was once asked "Are you enlightened?" and his reply echoes within..."No, but I am highly eliminated..." A man with a rich sense of humor....
In Life as with all other journeys, there is a beginning and an end, and then another journey begins. Be at Peace my friend and do not be troubled regarding enlightenment for it is an ever onward journey we all take. We follow the Path together and we each evolve in our own manner...I wish enlightenment upon you and I am sure you will reach the end of this journey with Love and Peace, that you will reach the destination is as sure as the sunrise for you show by the evidence of your question that you certainly are one of the Noble Persons, one of the 4 groups of such beings, perhaps a Stream Enterer or perhaps even more evolved still, perhaps even a Once Returner, if you reach Nirvana there you will be greeted by the wise who will point you in the direction of your next journey in life still following the Path.
Peace my friend from a Buddhist.

Enlightenment, like all things of a moral nature (classified as either good or bad) is one of those subjective things.
Peace and love are all well and good, but used incorrectly and you've got some serious problems. You get someone else who doesn't adhere to the same thing but rather war and hate (probably lesser variations of the two, still not peace and love), and this person may decide to kick your a** because you've made it so easy. They may even argue that the strong survive because that is how the species survives (the argument behind evolution), so them killing you (which they may term weaker because of your willing to accept others living even if they may want to hurt you) is them attempting to save the species. Therefore, their willingness to kill is in their mindset still love (if tough love).
Its so very heavy, I wish someone would enlighten me.

YES. One is already in possession of enlightenment, but knows not where to find it. (Within)

The message of Jesus is organic. The essence of the message is organic.... by means of the years Humanity has gotten further and further illiberal, impure and nasty So except Humanity turns in the direction of purity, revival would be complicated

You are already enlightened. That's what Zen tells us anyway.

That I believe would be considered self worship. A rather vain or narcistic mindset.
