What to make Birthday cake or a pan of brownies for my hubby's 33rd bday?

You can make a brownie birthday cake.
Get two boxes of brownies or you can make two batches of home made brownies.
Using 2 - 9" cake pans put one batch in each. Cook according to package directions. When cool frost with your favorite frosting. I make a homemade peanut butter frosting and the brownie cake is out of this world

I guess this depends on what your husband likes more. Cake usually last longer & can be personalized, whereas brownies usually go quickly unless you make more than one batch, and can't be personalized too much.
I'm partial to cake....because you can go to a bakery store and even some crafts stores like Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics and buy different shaped cake pans and then personalize the cake by writing something on it.

I would say brownies. Only casue a cake looks to overwhelming. At least with brownies they are more snack size.

Maybe you should make him an angel food cake since it is easy to make and you can make it any way you want, and also, you can also put frosting on the cake if you wish.

if he likes ice cream too, bake a pan of brownies then top with 1/2 gallon of his favorite ice cream. (comes out to about a 1 inch layer of ice cream) then top that with crushed oreo cookies.
