Yes. Lhasa and Shih tzus are also prone to this problem. I have assisted in surgery at least three times for small dogs who had eyes pop out. They warn you about this tendency when you are learning animal handling techniques so you will be extra careful with these breeds.

No, they do get eye infections and other eye-related problems, but not where they fall out. I'll ask my pug Paddy if his eyes will fall out and he'll turn his head slightly and wonder what I'm talking about.

The below is an article about it, unless there is a fight between two dogs, there is not a case where a pug's eyes will just pop out for no reason.

I've had my pug for 7 years and have never heard anything about her eyes popping out. We have had other problems though.

U ever see that freaking lady who can pop her eye balls out and then put them back in?? She was on TV alot a while back..I figure if she can do it..I guess any living thing can!

And please do not smack your pug on the back of the head to test the theroy! ;-(

my aunt's shih tzu's eye popped out... i'm assuming that means it can happen to a pug too!
