Before I go into a worship service - or if I am worshiping alone, I just try and clear my mind and focus. Forget about the week's events, forget about where you are going after church, forget about it all. Focus on Jesus Christ and worshipping him and thanking him for the gift he has given us = eternal life.

There are many ways to prepare for worship. For me, I especially want to start preparing myself for worship (going to church) on Sat. This can involve praying, reading the Bible, going over your notes from last weeks sermon.
Of course you can Worship God anywhere whether it's a simple prayer, or worshiping at church.

since i do my prayer at the tennis courts in the winter time (indoor of course), i prepare by doing the following:
at least one 30 second sustained hurtler stretch - one for each leg.
at least one 30 second sustained achilles tendon stretch - one for each side.
at least one 30 second sustained back stretch.
other general stretching.
then i will bound on the balls of my feet (like a prize fighter) and really work on my focus and work on getting into that zone.
