God teaches us not to judge other people and to treat our neighbors as we treat ourselves. Yet why are the religious people often the most judgmental?

I am religious, and yet I know it is human nature to judge. I try to stop myself from judging others because that is God's job. It is a daily struggle, you just have to have the right mindset. Just because people are religious does not mean them understand God or the bible.

Little friend. While it may be true that some religious people are hypocritical and quick to judge, it is making enormous assumption that they are the ones most likely to judge. Perhaps in a different arena than YA, you might find less judgmental people whether they are religious or not. BCK

I don't mind it so much when they judge, its just when they slaughter people that bothers me.

Seriously though, I think it all traces back to the belief in heaven or blissful afterlife. Its barely an injustice to kill someone (or yourself) if death isn't the end. Especially since there are virgins on the other side! (fcking idiots)

And being hypocritical is nearly guaranteed if you believe in heaven, since God's requirements for entrance are strict, the best you can do is tell people about the requirements, rather than meet them yourself.

In effect, only athiests understand the injustice of killing. It's wrong because the victim is wiped out of existence. There is simply no more of him or her. Its truly bizarre that only 1% of the population realizes this.

On the other hand, I wonder if religious people really believe all the crap they say they do. Would priests really molest little boys if they believed in hell?

I try not to judge... I also will say sorry "even when I don't feel that I am in the wrong"
I think for any one christian or not.. It is hard some times dealing with people. We are all imperfect so I think we all need forgiveness....
I also feel that people think its more of the religious people but that may/or may not be because most people claim to be Christian's. That however doesn't mean that they try to follow what the bible sets out for them to do.

Because they're religious, but not spiritual. I always say that religion is what men invented to get themselves into Heaven. Religion requires following a list of rules and regulations in order to secure your place in the afterlife ... and since no one is perfect, and even the inventors of the rules will fall short time and again ... they like to put the spotlight on the shortcomings of others, in hopes of taking God's attention away from their own! Spiritual people know that its your relationship with God that puts you on his good side, not trying to be perfect. If you focus on yourself and your spiritual life, you'll find yourself looking at others as much.

I think that most organized religions have become fudged with Freemasonry and similar bodies of doctrine.

People are therefore taught when they are older that good and bad have to exist in equal amounts and in equal proportions, and thus must be kept in even balance.

In other words, most organized religions are on the System, and people are using organized religion as a means of hopping on board the System. In order to get on they are expected to do damage by doing someone out. They also are expected to pay their dues to the System by doing continuous damage.

The chastizing you mention makes sense in that light. Certain people have found a way in which they can use organized religion to abuse as well as kill. Look at the "holy" politicians.

Stonecutters are teaching people to be evil behind a cloak of white.

I'm sure it's just a little flaw in the zeal of those people. Don't concern yourself to much about peoples judgments. Just worry about your relationship with your Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus the Christ. It's their judgments that really should concern you.

Religions are tools to give people a sense of entitlement. It is more about keeping people "out" of your group than letting people "in." What is not understood easily can be judged and explained as deviant or "evil." Sounds great huh?

Are u in?

Not judging others and the golden rule may be good moral ethics, but they are also LOGICAL. Religion doesn’t involve logic so you don’t have to think things through like that. Besides, they are too busy looking at how you act that they forget to look at themselves.

My friend, if the 'they' everyone is refering to have those traits 'they' are baby Christians and have a long way to go. The message Jesus taught is compassion and charity things we all need to improve on.
