and get a salary from the Saudi Arabian governemnt if they study religion in Saudi Arabia? My husband who is a Saudi citizen told me that one of his friends said Saudi Arabia will pay me a salary if I study religion in Saudi Arabia.

u can get a salary if u study anything ,not only religion
1000 SR for science departments
850 SR for other departments
i think all of the universities that supported by the government offers this little salary:)

Not only religion, if you get a scholarship into some other universities they will pay for your studies and give you some money. Its more like pocket money, not a salary.

I think Umm ul Qura university is one of those.

Thats all I know.

the government itself does NOT do that. your husbands friend is offering this because he is probably religious, and in Islam one of the greatest good deeds is introducing someone who isn't a Muslim to Islam and have them study it. i don't know about Um Al-Qura college, they might give you a scholarship. my advice to you is to go ahead and do it, new knowledge can't hurt, and money wouldn't hurt either :P
