I was entered that we paid for our insurance out of our checks after taxes not before. I also entered that we had a child. I did not do this on purpose. How do I contact the IRS to correct this? I filed online through tax cut

You would need to file an amended return using the form 1040X
This needs to be mailed in as it can not be electronically transmitted. If you owe additional taxes due to the change, include payment in full and send it in before April 17th to avoid penalties and interest.

File an amended tax return. You can return to the same website to do this process. The forms will be a 1040X. If tax cut does not provide this service I believe Turbo Tax does.

File an amended return. Change your answers to the correct ones and refile. If you did it online, you should be able to get your amended form online and file it like normal.

God bless you :)

If it is an adding or subtracting error, they will catch it and redo the math and send the correct amount. If it is another type of error just hope they don,t audit you.
