Yesterday I went to enlist in the Salvation Army. All of the ladies gave me this puzzled look and one even burst into laughter. I was really upset beacause I shaved my head and everything. I am in excellent physical condition by the way, but apparently something about me did not meet their stringent requirements. What could the problem be?

Maybe it was your appearance, or just simply they did not have any job openings in the "Salvation Army". Dumb ***.
Maybe you should have some self respect for all of the other Veterans on this web site, and don't put such stupid questions up.
Now, if you want to be a real man, why don't you join the Armed Forces. You have several to choose from:
Army
Air Force
USMC
Navy
Cost Guard.
Why don't you be a funny man and join one of the above, and come back and post your question then.
