The better question is, why would Satan "pay" to own someone's soul? People are generally self-absorbed and pleasure-loving enough to find their way over to his side on their own. Why would he feel the need to offer something more then he already does? Following Satan can be extremely tempting.

False. For a start, we each have an individual soul, nobody could sell them all as a kind of job lot ! Second, Satan does not exist, it's mumbo jumbo, used to keep us all fearful and quiescent.

I respect anyone's right to invent God or Satan or Santa or Man U if they feel the need for worship, just don't expect us all to join in.

There is a refund.A big payment.An all from the extreme God.He sent his son to be the sacrificial lamb.He made the payment in full.We can't earn it,or top God.Who can with stand the love of God?
