Before, most people thought the world was flat, but today, thru simple observations we know that it's round.

Before, most people thought African Americans were inferior to Whites, but today, that is totally diminished thru equality of modern times.

Before, most people used 'gods' to explain natural phenomena (god of sun, god of fire, god of sea), but today, thru scientific reasoning, most people agree that's as totally bogus.

Before, most people believe in a 'god', to worship and serve and devote their entire lives to, simply because of their existence and on the false promise of eternal life (just to name a few), but TOMORROW....most people realize how delusional that is, and learn to value and appreciate this life for what it is, concentrating on humanity concepts, rather than supernatural ideals, therefore eliminating all religious differences/beliefs on earth, and in turn ending all conflict/violence found in most wars.

it's a trend. common sense will prevail.

"Tomorrow?" when is tomorrow? We have believed in the God of the bible since the first humans thousands of years ago. The same one.
AND it was scientists that said the world was flat when the bible calls the world a circle!! Isaiah 40:22
"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."

The bible is a historical book used by many archaeologists. We have found evidence of the city of Ur from Abraham, the walls of Jericho, King David's bathes, The tomb of the pharisee Ciaphas who brought Jesus to trial and SO much more.

We have writings from non christian authors who tell about the man Jesus and the Christians, Pliny the younger, Josephus, and Tacitus. So we know Jesus the man WAS here.

There are creation scientists who believe our universe was designed. There is much evidence that demands a verdict! We Christians are not silly hillbillies who have blind faith! Learn about us.

A couple fallacies with your "trend"

The biggest one being that human nature tendency towards violence would ever cease to exist simply because one cultural aspect of life was missing. We have some obvious examples of some communist countries removing religion from the picture, and yet, violence and cruelty still persisted.

The second one is the idea that science can disprove God. When we all know that the scientific method is a method of physical observations, and therefore doesn't really work to detect things of a spiritual or non-physical nature. You might as well be using a metal detector to try to prove or disprove the existence of a plastic jug - it just doesn't work.

I think you lack common sense if you actually believe religion is the cause of all the world's problems. Mankind is the problem. Religion is usually an excuse, even though I honestly believe some man-made religions are just brutal. Of course that is because they were created by man. Do you see the trend? People are the problem. I guess common sense would then tell us to eliminate all people. I don't think that will happen either.

May God Bless you.

It is rather insulting that you think the only "GOD" is the Christian one. It may be a large religion but some of us refuse to lose touch with the ancients and with nature. My Lord and God is ancient and primitive. It is not delusional to be willing to accept more than we can see.

Also ending of religion will not guarantee an end to conflict. Only the increase of understanding, acceptance and tolerance will do that. Bashing anyone's choices only adds to the conflicts. It is not asked that you agree, only that you be willing to disagree in an agreeable way. To put it differently, dislike the choice but still accept the person.

Long before your African American argument, Moses married an Ethiopian woman. Looks like the believers beat you to the punch on racial equality, too.

If most people realize how "delusional" God's promise is, why do over 80% of Americans claim to believe in God?

He will forgive you for this kind of post, if you ask.

Sounds like you are the one delusional. No disrespect intended but eternal life is not a false promise. I would hope that you find Jesus before you die. Common sense means good judgment. Everything good is of God. If everyone in the world strived to be like Jesus we would all love our neighbor and that is the trend that needs to be followed. Learn to value and appreciate this life for what it is and that is God given. The worldly view is not what God wants for us He wants us to have the Godly view.

some quite everyone isn't 'fluent" in scripture. you should study, and also you nevertheless benefit a extra effective awareness. Christians you communicate of, are likely telling you what they comprehend- and inspite of else you deliver to their interest, possibly they don't seem yet, knowledgeable on. you make the most of trickery- do you not? dont assume an answer once you attempt to capture. upload: consistent inclusive of your commentary to Liz, you've answered my q. as i presumed- you purely try to capture Christians (who're little question, not very studied.) how embarrassing that provides your kicks- frame of mind someone with extra adulthood so that you're hushed. There are instructors that could have you ever wondering your self- frame of mind them. :)

I see what you're saying. People in an environment should assume there is nothing beyond that environment unless and until they develop some device for detecting areas beyond the boundaries. And they should also assume the environment just exists on its own without having been created since they can find nothing in the environment capable of creating it. Brilliant.

Yug - No Christian ridicules science. We just don't worship it.

You call that common sense? I call it nonsense. Read the bible - it's God's word of truth from front to back. If you don't believe in the bible or God, then I feel sorry for you because God does exist. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. For those that don't believe, the bible says their hearts are darkened and are spiritually blind. I hope you will have a change of heart about what you said and will sit down and read the bible someday. :D
