NATIVE ITALIANS who are good with words / POETIC MEANING / ROMANCE, I need your opinion?

Question

I am in a long-distance relationship.

He once wrote to me, "...avvolte il mondo sembra crudele, brutto, incomprensibile pero come e grande e ci siamo incontrati; penso anche che il nostro amore fa diventare il mondo piccolo, e la distanza che ci divide, diventera ancora piu piccola."

For Valentines Day, I bought him a globe (nice one made of semi-precious stones) with a gold thing going around it. I want to engrave something on the gold thing. I want to engrave the words he wrote to me. But which part of that quote would you use?? (And why?) (It sounds good, what he wrote, but does it really make sense??)

What he said is beautiful!
"At times the world seems cruel, ugly, incomprehensible but it is so grand and we met; I also think that our love makes the world small, and the distance that seperates us will become even smaller"

You should quote this part: "La distanza che ci divide diventera ancora piu piccola" (the distance between us will become even smaller).

sure makes sense and its great your idea.
he said: sometimes world seems cruel, ugly and incomprehensive. world is big but we have meet us. i think that our love make world seems smaller and the distance which separete us will be smaller too.
