Going through child support litigations and wonderiing if I as soldier am protected while stationed in germany?

Uh, sorry, but you need to own up to your responsibilities and PAY the Support....being over here in Germany doesn't keep you from that Responsibility....

whatever you do, dont listen to usarmor.... I was stationed in Germany while going through child support litigations also..... what you need to do is get someone in the states that can speak on your behalf... ie you will need to get them a Power of Attorney... the worst thing you can do is assume that all is taken care of...... Soldier and Sailor Act is designed to protect the military from people that take advantage of them, such as car salesmen, book solicitors, and people that like to screw a soldier to get money..... not as a legal alternative... and when you get the child support amount figured out, request to have it garnished from your check that way you dont miss what you dont have...just a suggestion

The Soldier and Sailor Act has changed and maybe no longer in effect due to the suicide of a CPO in San Diego. A CPO killed himself to keep his wife from getting half of his retirement. Since he was still on active duty and hadn't retired she lost everything.
