A staunch disbeliever of astronomy how does he believe in destiny being predetermined.if so the millions of our country men who clean human excreta -are they destined to do that? millions of our country women who work in the fields and whose skin are parched by the sun - are they destined to do that?millions of our children who die of malnurition-are their fate so determined?

we are all humans,may our beliefs or ideas are too good or bad,situation will prove,as we all know no body can controll destiny,at that time Mr.kalam might be a believer in the predetermined destiny,now i think he changed his beliefs,it cannot be said wrong of Mr.kalam, believed in predetermined destiny,its his beliefs,so each every person has his/her own destiny and their own thoughts about destiny's.may be above saying is depends on situation,but i believe in when we are born to this world our destiny is set by god,its us who do the things good or bad and cultivate its fruits accordingly.it should be noted that there are many things in this question of yours,which had no exact answer,bcoz knowledge about such things still very less.

If you believe the caste system is the implication of the way karma works and that karma is so strong that it determines all the things that happen to you, then yes we would be pre-determined. If you think that the caste system was just another way to keep people quiet about being oppressed, then no, we are not predestined but just affected by the things we have done in our past lives.

Yet another reason to believe in Jesus. So much simpler.

who said astromers dont believe in predetermination..... most of thems belief is " WHAT YOU FACE IS FATE AND HOW YOU FACE IT IS BRILLIANCY AND KNOWLEDGE" Dont you know that Galileo is spiritualist.... How abt Newton.... check almost all the space scholars they do believe in it.................. And of course its "CHOICE NOT CHANCE WHICH DETERMINES DESTINY" And another Fact is that " WITHOUT CHANCE THERE IS NO CHOICE!!!!!"
