I talk to myself and I'm normal. I don't talk as if I'm having a conversation and answer like someone else, but I do talk aloud sometimes when I suddenly have a big idea, get frustrated and ask questions out loud, or even say something nice about myself when I've accomplished something difficult. Most of the people I know do as well and they're normal adults. There was a time when I was living alone, and when I talked to myself out loud about something bugging me, it helped to validate it and I could figure it out. Don't worry about it. It's when you stop talking to yourself, whether in your head or muttering out loud, that you're troubled.

Abnormal is when you are in a crowd of people or walking from class to class and you are constantly talking to yourself, answering your questions, and laughing at your jokes...This one person does this in my college and it is very annoying (I know he has problems but for some reason he seems to always walk with me). It's also abnormal when someone cannot interrupt your conversation with yourself because you are still busy arguing with yourself. THAT's abnormal!

There's nothing abnormal about talking to yourself! I talk to myself all the time. It's actually very theraputic to talk to oneself. It's sort of like talking to a therapist, except no feedback. It's better to get things out whatever they may be and even if you're only talking to yourself it helps. You're using yourself as a sounding board and that relieves stress =) and sometimes makes it easier for you to figure things out by saying them out loud.

You're totally normal (if there's any such thing lol)

Take Care and keep talking!

Thats totally normal, I do it alot when I am at work, it helps to sort out problems. But if you are doing it all the time, you may be spending too much time alone. I do this too and find that going out with friends or just being around someone I can talk to keeps me sane

are you having actual conversations? answering and all that? do you tell yourself jokes then laugh like it's the first time you've heard it? if so, perhaps something is a bit off. But ifyou are just kinda muttering,or thinking out loud, talking yourself through a task? i think that would be pretty normal, everyone does that.

A lot of people talk to themselves, so I seriously doubt that it's "abnormal".

I, too, talk to myself quite a bit. It helps me to remember things when I speak out loud.

Don't worry about it...you're absolutely normal. (Did I say that out loud or did I really type it?)

I talk to myself all the time, I wouldn't worry unless you start losing any arguments!

I certainly wouldn't call it NORMAL. But I do know someone who constantly talks to herself and it drives me crazy. So for the sake of other people, don't talk to yourself in others' presence.
