What have you done so far? Have you done any training? Have you been "mean" when she went in the house?
Normally, the way to train a dog is to catch him/her "in the act". The next time she starts to go inside, immediately shout "Hey! No!" then rush her outside. When she starts to go outside, praise her as if she just found the cure for cancer.
Do NOT rub her nose in her mess (this does absolutely nothing and may make her snap at you). Do not hit her. Do not yell to any extreme (I know it can be frustrating, but yelling at her while cleaning it up does nothing in terms of training). Do not reprimand her once she's already gone. If you yell at her mess, all she learns is to not go in a place you can discover. Again, you must catch her in the act, correct her behavior and then praise.
This basic technique is true for ALL dog training. Catch the dog doing something you consider inappropriate (barking, jumping on people, being on furniture, etc.). Correct the dog's behavior ("no barking", "off", etc.) and then praise ("Good girl!" with lots of attention from you).
If you've done all of this or if she was trained at one point, but now is going back in the house, she may have a bladder problem or some sort of infection. Take her to the vet for an exam.

Are you consistent with her? have a schedule you take her out and praise her and give treats when she goes in the correct spot. For training it should always be the same area of the yard on a leash not loose. If you catch her inside correct her, say no sharply to make her stop and take her out to finish. When she does praise and again give a treat. Food, even in small bits is a big motivator for dogs to learn. If necessary have a proper size crate to keep her in while your out so she's unable to go inside. I'd also suggest a good training book for over all training. Everyone seems to have a favorite, I like the "pack" training type of books. Jan Fennel, Cesar Millan, teach you how to be in charge or you can look into clicker training.

Some dogs are hard to train if they don't have their own yard. I don't know about the digging problem. May I suggest a moat? You could try putting big rocks around the fence.

what type of dog? has it been to the vet & any medical reasons are causing this? how old is the dog? i trained my puppy (now 3) by literally putting her out every 15-30 minutes and repeated the command - whatever you want it to be - when it was time to "Go Outside". I also baby-gated her on the kitchen floor (in case of accidents) until she got the jist of it.

Take her out 5 minutes after you feed her then put the food and water away. Crating her when your not at home is always an option and trust me, it's not cruel. Dogs won't soil where they lay.Talk to your vet also to make sure she doesn't have a bladder issue.

Get some books at Petco, and talk with them... or any other dog place, like Petsmart... they have things to help you
Is the dog spayed????? if not, be sure you do that..... neutered dogs are far easier to train to do anything, than those still intact.

Welcome to puppyhood. Have you thought of maybe trying to get her a playmate. I work with a rescue agency and we will allow someone to foster another animal for a couple weeks to see if it helps with a behavioral problem. It might just be lonely and doing it for attention. Good luck. I have seen it work.

I had the same problem with my Jack Russell Terrier. I finally caught him in the act and spanked him pretty hard. He got the message and NEVER did it again.
