There is no hell. Scornful laughter is a more appropriate response than scratching your head, surely.

You really need to read the Bible for yourself. Find out what it really says about life. It is so easy to miss eternal judgment that I don't worry very much at all any more. I believe God loves me and died for me and freed me. He paid such a high price for me; that now I have much value. I walk and talk with Him every day. And pray for those that don't know Him. Is dying in a car wreck at the hands of a drunk reasonable? etc. I don't know how some spineless creatures change colors or glow so beautifully. Let alone have the answers for eternity. What i do know I do know though. God is real. He is truth. He loves me.
Extra: Jesus spoke more on Hell than Heaven. "Where the worm dies not and the fire is not quenched" To deny this is just poor poor exegesis. Also; "the smoke of their torment rose forever and ever" There is a galaxy of fire out there for the wicked, no doubt. People die and go to Hell every day. Sad but true. We have an easy choice, but don't look for fairy tales, cleave to the Truth.

Question-- If your not being punished, are you really being punished?
Lets toss out "eternal torture" for just a moment. Lets focus on SEPARATION. Love in its essance has to be able to at least allow the opposite. Love has to be a choice otherwise its not genine. Dostoyeski said "God in his essance is Love so the opposite of that must be hate".
I am more and more convinced that heaven or hell wouldnt matter if the decision was to be Separated from him. Because your torture would be looking at Him, when your decision was to get away.
Think about it. God gives you free will but would violate it by "forcing" you to be in a heaven with him that you didnt want in the first place....
If you want more expansion, I can give you a link to an audio clip that explains it philosopically

You better believe it's not!! Not even for the worst of the worst... That judgment I believe is cruel and unusual!!! And there is nothing to justify eternal hellfire! If god is that mean.... how can he be so loving on the other hand??? Is he good or is he very bad?

If the worst person in the world killed a child every minute of every day for 80 years, that still would not equal an eternity of torture. Nothing is equal to eternity. It's just to scare people.

Yes, I think it's reasonable, because God sent His Son to die for our sins so that we wouldn't have to die for them! To not believe in the validity of Christ's deity and humanity is to make a mockery of His life and death and by nullifying His life and it's purpose seperates you from Him through sin.

No, it is not.
The wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal life being tortured. - Romans 6:23; compare John 3:16.
Note Psalm37:38 where we read "But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off."
Destroyed, not tortured.
And Ezekiel 18:4, 20 neither one says "The soul that sinneth, it shall FRY."
No, both passages say: "The soul that sinneth, it shall DIE."
See also Ecclesiastes 9:5-10; Psalm 146:4.
