'cos saying that we the Christians are ''fanatics ''or ''mentally ill'' it is not only an offence to the Christians, it means strongly defying God.

So can you tell me why do the Christians accept this ...to be called ''fanatics'',''mentally ill'', if they believe God exists , or if they affirm satan exists...Well I personal think that satan does this because he knows we must affirm that God exists and satan (His enemy )exists , otherwise ...God won't let us enter Heaven...if we don't affirm these...complete Truth...But now , I am interested to hear some opinions..why do the Christians accept to be called ''fanatics ''or ''mentally ill''if they say they believe God exists ....I think they take advantage of the fact that we are Christians and don't want to sue them...Because our model is God , and even Jesus , Son of God , having also an eternal condition of God , let the people crucify Him , kill Him...instead of flooding them again...or just sending them into fire .

If people call me a Jesus Freak, or a fanatic, or a fundamentalist, maybe I am doing something right.

As far as mentally ill...

Matthew 5:11
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Jesus Christ himself was persecuted, demeaned and eventualled killed, and as a believer in him, we cannot expect much better treatment, although, thankfully, I have never had to experience that level of persecution and don't know personally any who have. Jesus loved those who hated him, and if people choose not to believe, then ultimately, it is their sad loss. I don't necessarily accept being called a fanatic, but if you speak out in Jesus' name, it comes with the territory.

Wow, you don't make a whole lot of sense!

Mainly, it's Jesus' idea of turning the other cheek. However, as a normal human being, you've got to choose your battles wisely. If you engaged every person who ever called you a "Fanatic" (a term I've actually never heard applied to myself outside of the internet) you'd start to really look like a fanatic.

Jesus said that all Christians would experience persecution in His name. He did NOT say that we should do our best to argue with those who persecute us, but He DID say to love them.

We know who we are. We are forgiven and accepted by God. That is all that matters God tells us that vengeance is His and that He will repay. We must let go of any hate. Our job on this earth is to just love other people and ignore anything derogatory they might think or say about us. We are the blessed ones.

To me, it really doesn't matter what people call me as long as God calls me His own.

It's not a matter of suing someone or not..\

God promised there would never be another flood.

It's also a matter of loving people...You can't love people when you're arguing with them and you can't hate them when you're praying for them..

If somebody calls you this you have the choice to accept what they say or ignore it.

It's your choice.

Other people have the same choice.

Better instead to think about why people would say these things instead of paying attention to what they say. Name-calling is usually down to fear.

Suing someone for name-calling would only show these people that you believe your belief or yourself to be weak. Don't lower yourself like that.

I don't see much sitting back from any of the extreme thinkers, whether they are Christian, agnostic, etc. What gave you the impression that Christians, especially ones like Falwell and Robertson, just sit back and take name-calling (which goes both ways by the way) without attacking back?

I think name calling and labeling of people who are all individuals is wrong. Whether you're a Christian or Atheist, it's childish.
