Frey Vineyards sell organic wines that they say contains no detectable sulfites -- see http://www.freywine.com/freywine/wine-list.html

But if you buy them, drink them quickly because they are likely to be prone to other faults because sulfur has been used as a sterilizer, preservative, to kill bacteria and etc since antiquity

Just because a wine is organic doesn't mean it doesn't contain sulfites because sulfites are a natural by product of fermentation.

Unless you are badly asthmatic you shouldn't worry about sulfites. They can affect fewer than 1 in a million asthmatics, which is why the warning is on the label. However higher levels of sulfites are present in fruit juices, dried fruits; in fact there is a huge range of food products that contain sulphites including eggs.

Sulfites are naturally occuring in wine grapes, I'm not sure about the other fruits. Sulfites are added to wine for preservation and because of regulations. The best I can do is steer you to 'organic wines' they do not have sulfites ADDED. One that I can think of is Badger Mountain wines in Washington State.

The above web site has a listing of the organic wines they carry, should be of help.

sulfite free anything is a pipe dream.

matter of fact the regulations on sulfites aren't being taken seriously.. especially in alcohol.

according to some fda reports.. alcohol was suppose to be regulated for sulfite amounts.. i am unsure the amount but... we are still 300% over that requirement and the requirement is still a heavy amount beyond what our bodies can handle.

A truly organic wine should be sulfite free. Look for a certified organic wine.
