My 14 year old Yorkie, who was recently to a vet for a checkup, of which all his blood tests came back good. He starting having diarehha 2 days ago, which has passed, but now i notice he is having a hard time urininating and the urine has a red color to it. Does this sound like a cold, flu, or something more serious? He seems fine of than that, still playful eating good, good general spirits.

Definitely get the little guy to a Vet immediately!! Sounds like he may have a urinary infection, which is not good at his age. Good luck!

Sounds like a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), however I am not a vet. I would get him to a Vet quickly, and not the Vet you used before. The first thing tested for blood in the urine should have been the urine itself not the blood. Looking for bacteria or other abnormalities in the urine because of blood seems like common sense. A cold or flu should produce loss of appetite, sneezing, nasal discharge, etc. NOT bloody urine. Go now...to the Vet!

It could be a number of possibilities, especially in an older dog; the most common being associated with a lower UTI infection. But there are more serious conditions that have the same signs. Best thing is to see your vet. First thing to do is rule out any obstruction, like a stone, run a U/A and if there a no answers there, might have to do a urine culture and radiographs. It's good that your going today; the sooner the better b/c problems like this don't get better on there on.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. This will need meds as it won't go away on its own. If left untreated, your pup will lose control over its urinating and be in much pain.

Your domestic dog has had a coarse time. i be attentive to you sense somewhat hopeless. you probable already be attentive to that the Ehrlichia grew to become into transmitted by a tick, probable a Brown canines Tick. Your canines might exchange into anemic and countless the indications you describe: fevers, eye concern, undesirable urge for nutrition, and lethargy, all point out that she suffers from continual Ehrlichia. medical care might encompass blood transfusions, yet before you flow down that course, you're able to be attracted to attempting a homeopathic treatment to bolster her immune gadget and liver. that's lots gentler than antibiotics and you will furnish it to her daily the place you does not dare try this with antibiotics. you're able to discover the article under effectual. ultimate, Kate
