America's fight against terror is also Britain's. It would certainly not behoove Britain to remove troops considering the terror threat within its own borders.
Tony Blair got this one right.

Since Britain was so instrumental in getting involved it the Iraq war they should stay to see it thru. The war was a mistake but to leave now would be the commencement of a bloodbath for which Britain and the United States would be blamed.
Right of wrong it is done and there is no way out now. I would hope that some thought was given in future before these adventures are started.
Unfortunately the credibility of the countries involved are at stake here.

yes, the war in Iraq has nothing to do with fighting terrorism but has had the opposite effect of encouraging it.
When the IRA terrorists were attacking British civilians, policemen and soldiers their main support came from America and you never heard any American mention a War on Terror in those days.
The strange thing is that this support mysteriously disappeared after 9/11 when the Americans got a taste of their own medicine, but they have never offered any compensation for the actions of their terrorist friends or even an apology.

sure, go for it. But don't ask us for help when they blow up more than your subway systems (and yes, i was in England at the time and supposed to visit London via the tube the next day).
The war on terror is either a global effort or you're on your own. America can, ultimately, make a go of it ourselves, but, as has already been said, helping is in YOUR best interest.

It would be naive for Brittian to not back this war. It is in their interest. Besides when this is all said and done they will have had a big part in it.
