My fiance in interested in going on a cruise. I on the other hand am a little nervous due to watching to many shows on tv about cruises and bad things that happen on them. :P I'm interested on opinions from others and your experiences on a cruise, and which cruise you would recommend. Thanks!

Life is risk. You shouldn't be scared to experience something wonderful for fear that something bad will happen. However, this is your honeymoon, it should be something you both want - you have a lifetime to take a cruise together. Suggest places you can go on your honeymoon that you can take a charter boat out or one that has a guided tour boat included. That can be a nice compromise. If you are just going to give in and go on a cruise, then I would suggest contacting a travel agent and doing some comparison shopping - ask lots of questions and go with the one that your gutt says will be okay. Good luck.

We went on a cruise with Princess, and have nothing but good things to say about them. As far as you being nervous... It is absolutely irrational. Millions of cruises go out every year, and perhaps you see something "happen" on one or two of them on the news. Of course you don't see anything about the other 99.9999% of them that went out and back in safely with everyone having a good time. If you ask me, you have a much higher chance of getting in a car wreck than of something "happening" to you on a once-in-a-lifetime cruise. Shake off the irrational worry, and enjoy yourself. Cruises are great - they pamper you, entertain you, and feed you good food nearly 24/7. We loved it.

I have a friend who goes on the Disney Cruises as often as he and his wife can possibly manage it.

They've NEVER had a second of grief with ANYTHING cruise related, so I would recommend them.

Princess, Royal Carribean, and Carnival are all good. Don't worry about what you see on TV...those things are so rare, especially if you're only going to the Carribean.

If you're young and a partier, or a have a family, go for Carnival. If you're older and more mellow, go for Royal Carribean. If you're middle of the road, go for Princess.

Royal Caribbean! It's a much more relaxed and romantic cruiseline. Carnival is more chaotic.
