My husband is a traditional meat and 2 veg man, but since this disease has took hold is having trouble eating these types of meals and would prefer softer type foods (such as eggs, fish, etc).

Any suggestions please.

Can he manage soups with small chunks in? If he can and he likes meat and veg then sainsburys do chunky soups including beef hot pot and scotch broth. They are in the fresh food range in the fridges, nutricious too.

If he's lost his appetite in the day centres i know they use a very small glass of wine before a meal as this can stimulate the appetite. Check with the Doctor first that this is safe with any medication he may be taking.

Ask for a referal to a dietician, i would hope he's already seen one if his cancer is now advanced.

Have you thought of blending the foods he likes so they are softer for him to eat.
Email me for more advice, my wife is a cook and at our local hospital so deals with this kind of thing.

The reason your husband is having trouble with those foods is because they are the source of his cancer.

He needs to eat cooked vegetables and vegetable oils, then slowly introduce raw foods.

His body is so toxically full of protein that his liver cannot flush the resulting poisons. His body is designed to handle 2 - 8% of his calories as protein. He's been getting 20 - 30% for years and he is totally overwhelmed. He has no means to break down the excess polypeptide chains and no divalent minerals to pH balance the resulting acids.

Feed him steamed kale with boiled potatoes and olive, flax, hemp, and or borage seed oil. Later go for tops of vegetables with bottoms of vegetables which are seasonally available and certified organic. He'll be getting better in five days. I guarantee it.

Personally I would ask him what he likes and what he can manage to eat and then give them anything they want to be honest!
