Me and my girl of 9 years are still in a relationship, but I've lost the passion and love. Not to mention I suspect she's cheating on me. However, I like her friend a lot. They have been friends for 20 years, and I am ready to break up with this girl and marry her friend.
So for V-Day, I was thinking of asking her friend to marry me in front of my current girlfriend. How does that sound? I know it's heartless and it will pain me to do it but... I have feelings for her friend now. Why is that wrong?

This is absurd. You seem determined to hurt the girl you've been intimate with for nine years, and to no purpose I can see. You say you know it is heartless and would pain you. So what possible reason would you have for doing it?
Propose to the friend if it works out that way, but don't expect the love of nine years to take it well. Maybe she will: women are pretty amazing that way. But don't expect it. As to the proposal being in front of the current girlfriend, I can't see that as anything but cruel.

I answered your other question that this is a bad idea. I think it is ironic that in your first time asking the question you said nothing about your girlfriend cheating. And only now bring it up as a way to justify the heartless and cold thing that you are thinking of doing.
These girls have been friends for a lot longer then you have been in the picture. Why would you want to destroy their friendship? And what even makes you sure the friend wants you or that she would be willing to destroy her friendship of 20 years for you? Sounds like you are pretty damn cocky. There is no way that you can justify this as being the right way to handle your situation unless you have no heart. You want to break up with your current girlfriend and cause her to lose her best friend all on the same day. I can only hope they both kick your *** to the curb and never look back. Guys come and go but friends are forever.

Ok, that is wrong in so many different ways as well as heartless and stupid. First of all, even if you suspect your girlfriend of cheating, are you sure she's doing it? And as for her best friend, you can't just ask her to marry you out of the blue! If you want to start out right and not in a scandalous way, break up with your girlfriend, wait a few weeks then ask out her friend, simple as that. I must also warn you that since they have been friends for a long time, she might not want to risk that longtime relationship for an uncertain one with you. So be careful. Good luck!

it would be best to talk to your girlfriend about how you feel. though it would still hurt her, at least you've shown her the respect as for your relationship with her. it's not wrong to fall in love with her friend, it's just that starting a new relationship without ending the current one is sure to backfire on you in the long run. if you're really decided to marry the other girl, make sure too that she's decided to marry you as well. hope you can make up your mind on this.

You know why it's wrong! Why would you want to disrespect another human being? Why would you want to inflict such pain on another human being? This doesn't say much for your character does it? I think both ladies would do well to walk away from you. Here's a novel idea be a man and break off with the lady. She's wasted 9 years of her life as it is.

It's wrong because you say you're still in a relation ship with "your girl of 9 years." I think it's a pretty bad idea. Does girl number 2 know that you like her? If so, you should talk to her in privte.

not only will you ruin your freindship and relationship with the current girl
the OTHER girl will be mad at her friend and you will destroy THEIR friendship. see what i mean?
and on valentines day?
the day where your supposed to express yourself to your girlfriend/wife? your going to humiliate both of them and yourself
