It's funny that you say that...sometimes when i have questions in my faith i feel blessed that God has allowed there to be so many extremely intelligent christian scholars, writers--you name it...to have amazing conversations with....I am sure alot of people realize when to answer someone searching, and when to be silent to someone who is mocking...

not that you need that...

alot of people just answer with their emotions, it doesn't mean they are unintelligent...the tone of your questions seems to say you think you are intelligent...would'nt you have already realized that fact?
and what does it matter to you anyway?

Gee, with your sweet attitude and tolerant disposition, I can't see why anyone would ever say anything negative to you.

OK, sarcasm break is over. The silent majority of Christians may or may not be intelligent. . .but the excessively vocal minority of atheists around this forum certainly haven't given any reason for us to believe that
*they* are intelligent.

I respect quite a few atheists and agnostics -- the ones who can hold a decent conversation without resorting to name-calling and insults. Needless to say, you aren't on that list, thanks to posts like these.

The silent majority of Christians have wisdom which is a higher form of intelligence.

Man, CJ, that is pretty messed up.

Are you saying that the official christian stance is that those who do not believe what we believe are liars?

Only 33% of the world are christian. Does that mean that 67% of the world are liars? What about the different groups within christianity? If someone does not agree with your particular sect, are they liars?

The bible tells people what to believe. If they fail to follow it then the bible says the believe it but are refusing it. That sort of kills any chance of someone questioning the bible. What if it is wrong? What if innocent people are being discrimated against and even killed because of a wrong book?

I think intelligence varies throughout the vast majority of all people, taking into consideration; socioeconomic status, culture, exposure, etc.

I think you have intelligent people in every group. Some are not so smart. Just like anything else. Stereotyping isn't fair to anyone.

No, your generalization was accurate. There was one christian that seemed intelligent, and hundreds that try to seem intelligent, but come off even more ignorant, and then the rest of the rabble that are simply stupid.

None of us compare to your great mind. We shudder with fear in a corner waiting for someone to rescue us. Shouldn't you be studying to enchance that already great mind of yours?

It's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. Some certainly would be, but I wouldn't go with the majority.

You just choose what you want to listen to. Your closed minded. If someone says something refering the the bible, or Jesus, you close your mind, and consider them unintelegent. Your the one who is mistaken my friend, your the one who is incorrect.
