In those muslim countries, it is common practice, and isn't even given a second thought. It's just a standard part of their society.

Yes, is absolutely inhumane, and is a very old tradition. 5.000 years old. This is not written in their Holy Koran, but they do not care so much about women. For them the women are almost animals.
The 2/3 of the women they must support something like that they loose their life, because of that. This is a crime!!!!
And if they want respect for their religion they should respect the vagina of their women. The last time, a lot of this people stop to do it, after they take lessons of respect, of the west people. Maybe one day, this crime is over. Whats the next crime ? A lot!
Their profet never said to do something like that. Why they do it still today? These persons, should find out what means love. The woman is not a thing to destroy. This is a very bad tradition they have. Let us pray for them Jesus is Great.

It's not just Islamic countries: female circumcision is also a huge problem in parts of Africa.
The rationale given for doing this by the perpetrators is often that the girl will not be able to get married (and in societies where women face rampant discrimination, without marriage they won't have financial security). It is also linked with the idea that circumcision will prevent them from committing adultury and keep them 'pure' for their husband. This does actually make some warped sense: if you'd got cut down there would you really ever want to have sex with anyone?!

This practise has been going on for a very long time in these countries female circumcision in western countries is considered barbaric.They allow this because this has been the way of things for so long and do it because they feel the woman will be less 'wanting' for a better word but does not make it seem any less barbaric

It has more to do with culture rather than religion. I have not come across anywhere in Islam where it is a requirement. It is mostly practised in some African countries and as far as I am aware it is not practised in the Middle East or Asian Islamic countries.

They were doing similar things in US and Britain until Edwardian times, Dr Kellogg (Kelloggs Cornflakes) advised that some girls clitoris's should be burned off with caustic to stop masturbation etc, Some Islamic people are living at least a century and probably more behind our times in these respects, they haven't caught up with an understanding of basic human rights.

Those aren't Islamic countries. They'll cultural practices and female circumcision is against Islam. It's haraam in Islam. Forbidden.

people who do this to their daughters should be sent to prison for a long time,and i dont care what the excuse is. no god,if there is one, would allow barbarity against children

I think this practice is horrible and an inhumane thing to do to young women. I have no answer as to why they would allow this....it seems so barbaric to me. They don't think women should be able to get any joy from sex, only men. It's a terrible thing.

Because they are backward and barbaric. Tht's why they bomb the innocent public instead of writing to the Times newspaper or their MP. Not because they are moslems.
