Brothers can be jealous, mine says I have put on weight but he must be at least 3 stones heavier than he should be so he can talk. As a young girl 8 stones sounds right, you want to look healthy not skinny which looks unhealthy. Listen to your mum and tell your brother he is just jealous. ;-)

I doubt that you are fat. If you don't like the way parts of your body look then excercise some to change that area but your weight sounds fine. Also when posting weights on here is would be easier if it was posted in pounds not stones as no one ever explains how many pounds a stone is. I had to go look it up.

Brothers are like that; ignore him if he's doing that. He's just trying to get a rise out of you. 8 stone doesn't sound overweight by any means, nor does it sound dangerously thin. I had this same problem in my teens; my father called me anorexic and my brother kept on about how huge my hips were...don't listen to them. Judge by how you feel and how your clothes fit.

depends on your height but no 8 stone is well skinny ignore your jealous brother and just be at the weight YOU feel happiest and not what you think will make other people happy.

it all comes down to you. What do you feel comfortable with. Do you honestly think you are fat. We all criticize ourselves way to much. Dont compare your self to people in magazines or the tv. Think about what you consider fat or over weight. Does it make you think of some one extremely obese or someone with well defined curves. Something to remember is that it is not about the percentage of fat on our body, it is the muscle. Dont diet or skip meals as this makes your body store more fat. In stead, exercise it will give you more energy and make you feel better about yourself. As long as you are happy, nothing else matters.

You are not overweight. Don't listen to your brother. He is winding you up and knows just what to say to do it. Ignore him if you can.

Listen to your mom! Let her know that your brother's comments are hurtful to you and he needs to stop.

If you don't feel like you can get help at home and are concerned or feel anxious, then don't give up. You don't want to get an eating disorder.

My best suggestion is that you get some counseling from the Brook Advisory Service For Young People. Ring their helpline on 08000 185023 and see what they can suggest for you.

Ring Brook, it's free and they are there to help!

Mum knows best - don't worry about your weight. Life is far too short to be worrying about whether you are a tiny bit overweight or not.

Punch your brother in the mouth!!

Unless you are under 5 feet tall, you are probably underweight. Ignore your brother, he is behaving like an idiot. Please don't try to lose any more weight. I suggest you go to see your GP or practice nurse to discuss your diet and get a balanced view of yourself. Your mum sounds worried and for good reason.

Mum is right on this one. Brothers are always a pain.

I guess it depends on the size of the stone. I weigh 7 rocks, but that really doesn't tell you anything.
