They cover their faces so that their pictures aren't plastered all over TV so that the last person they victimized won't recognize them and tell the police. At least that's why I did it. I didn't want to go down for a whole string of crimes, just the one the cops got wise on and it must have worked because they haven't figured out I did the others. By the way, I was kind of hot with my hoodie pulled up over my face.

Most likely because of embarrassment. Yes we know what they look like, but they are either embarassed or they don't want any more pictures taken of them.
Let's just say a friend of yours is arrested. They know that everyone knows what they look like now. Do you think that they want any more pictures taken of them?

Not all people who are arrested are guilty. Why do celebrities sometimes cover themselves up in front of paparazzi? Same reason...sometimes, you just don't want your not so good moments become a media frenzy.

Because if they're going to court, they have yet to be proven guilty. So it is wrong for the media to plaster their face everywhere and label them guilty. Everyone deserves their day in court.

It has to be pure embarrassment. I see that happen a lot on the news and I always think, they should have thought about how embarrassed they would be before they did the crime. But, we all know they think their never going to get caught.

Probably to convey a message of innocence. It's supposed to have some psychological points to it, I guess. I just wonder when they'll realize it's not working.

Because they are nothing more than cowards, yeah, when they are committing their crimes, they think they are big shots, but once caught, their true colors come out.

Shame and embarrasment I would think. the one's who don't, either believe there crime was justifiably committed or they want the recognition.
