yeh I'm doing the same thing too, go to the hairdressers for a good trim on the ends regulary to keep it tidy and as your layers grow down they will be gradually cut out, in the meantime use a good shampoo and conditioner.I had a layered bob but now all the layers are gone and it's a long blunt cut bob, still want it longer, never happy. Also if you use straightners use a good heat defence spray.

I am trying to do the same thing. You have to get it cut a little so the layers and catch up with the rest so. I get mine trimmed so that the layers get very little cut off and then she trims the longer layers a bit more. It has taken about 6 months though for me to get to where my hair is almost all even. It has not taken too much length off my hair over all though.

keep getting the bottom trimmed so your layers can get caught up. if your stylist says your layers need to be trimmed also than do it. when you get a split end it, the hair keeps splitting higher and higher up the hair shaft. so if you dont get it trimmed for a while when you do go you'll have to get alot more cut off

Keep cutting the bottom layer---only cut the top/side layers a teeny tiny bit ONLY if you start to get split ends.

let it grow , get it trimmed on a regular basis, chill out with the hair striaghtners as this will make the hair dry and contiunous straightning will weaken the hair!
