Wow! I did not know that so many people could avoid a question. I want to know about what YOUR log is and what THEIR splinter is!

The log in my eye is compiled of everyone elses splinter. I sometimes find myself angry because someone got away with what I didn't get away with. Do I have the right to be angry at them? No. I sometimes find myself with the "holier than though" mentality and I know I am wrong for it. As I get older and have experienced more... the splinters in everyone elses eyes gets smaller, according to what I can see. I guess at the same time the log in my eye must be shrinking as well. What I need to fix about myself is the fact that I have always worried about what other people are doing... not for my own benefit, but because "its not fair that I can't do it, but they can".

It's the splinter in the BROTHER'S eye. It means look into yourself and fix yourself before you try to go and fix everyone else. It means remove bad things in your life before removing bad things in everyone else's life. One is looking into their brother and seeing these tiny little imperfections, when all along you have huge imperfections yourself. Those little imperfections are splinters, and those huge are the log. It's a message a lot of people need to know, and follow.

Relationship is a mirror. You see yourself in it and the picture becomes clearer. What irritates you about someone else is usually something, in you, that you do not like or cannot deal with/admit. The second possibility is that it is a reminder of the old you.

Either way deal with it in yourself. You cannot tell others how to live. You must show them.

As a Buddhist, it's important to fix my own perceptions about the rest of the world and how everyone and everything interacts within it, thereby giving me better compassion when I DO try to help another if they want help with their splinters.

If I'm stuck in my own delusions and bad reactions, I'm of no help to others.

I try to fix ignorance, and yes, in some areas it is what I need to fix also.

Everyone does that on some level. Any time you critisize someone, it is always more about yourself than the other person.

I know I am far from perfect. I do not try to change others unless they themselves desire help.
