I have been getting these frequent pains in my upper stomach and the pain is so bad that the only way it goes away is if I vomit. At first the pain would go away like turnin off/on a lightswitch after I vomit, but now I find that I must vomit a bit more in order for the pain to go away. The pain is in the upper level of my stomach and if feels as if someone or something is pushing down on it with some force.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I already went to the doctor and he said it might be my gallbladder, and thank you to all that answered my question.

You should see a doctor about this . If it is a hiaties hernia, trying different meds didn't make any difference for me. What I found to give me great and almost instant relief was to take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in juice. Sounds odd I know as it is an acid but it neutrilizes the acids present in your digestive tract . I found this out via a homeopathic doctor. Like I said it works. Now if I feel the pain coming on I take it right away and I don't get the pain at all.

Does it start about half an hour or so after you eat? My father had similar symptoms and it was diagnoses as diverticulosis, which is when the intestinal tract develops little "pockets" that become pained if the person eats seeds, nuts, and other items that aren't easily digested.

The best thing to do is see your doctor, and maybe have him/her refer you to a specialist.

It could be a number of things including hiatal hernia etc. You really need to see the Doctor for a diagnosis.

if the pain in your upper stomach goes away if you vomit its probably a gastric ulcer, so you should visit a doctor.

Try tums or some other antacid.
Call a fast for a day.
Vomiting will burn your esophagus and make matters worse.
