She does very well at both subjects and acheives good grades in both subjects. Can anyone shed any light on which subject would be best for her to study.

History. History is permanent, something to learn from and build upon. Geography is ever-changing. In 10 years the maps will be completely different and only history will explain why.

Why can't she do both?

History and geography do converge, but are at best seperate subjects, so eliminating one at this stage isn't really a good thing!

Tough choice.

I would recommend History because a good bit of geographical information is a big part of the underpinnings of history. So, with history she will get both.

My feeling would be go with geography as it will help her more in her future life even if she doesnt use it in her career. Ive just gone through this with my daughter and its very hard to decide whats right. Good luck.

hi im 14 im taking history and geography find out what your daughter whats to be when she is owder then see a teacer and find out what one will be the most usefull for her hope i helped

history is usually more interesting than straight foward geography...I usually picked electives based on who the instructor was...

she is too young to eliminate either. they both should be studied a lot more.
