me and my exboyfriend have been in an love hate relationship for over a year now....while together and around eachother, we love eachother and are in love, but when away from eachother we hate eachother...we are me:17 him:20. i have miscarried twice and it hurt us both very deeply...there have been other very complicated, serious matters happen to me because of his friends, like things i had to do to protect his life, how do we get ove eachother and stop going back to one another when our other relationships dont work out because of the other one? because of us still loving, but hating eachother even though we know it won't work out with us?

THAT'S what happens when CHILDREN TRY TO ACT LIKE ADULTS.

This seems like a very destructive relationship. You need to stop it. I am no Dr. Phil, but you both need to realize this relationship is not good for either of you and both be strong enough to not get back together.

Honey..you need to get this guy out of your life and realize that you were in a VERY unhealthy relationship. You are waaay to young to be tied-down to start with...trust me, you have a lot of life ahead (I am 48 years old by-the-way)...having had two miscarriages at your age tells me you have been now given two chances to straighten out your life..a baby changes EVERYTHING...Learning to love yourself and be by yourself and comfortable with that, will be the first steps..and understanding that no one can MAKE you happy....you CHOOSE to be....and someone else can only ADD to that...I don't know if counseling is for you (it's not for everyone), but at least find a trusted MATURE adult to talk with....talking about it can help put everything in to perspective....
I do wish you well....learn to love YOU..before you add someone else to your life...

How about not having children at 17 and graduate high school instead?

Well what ever happens i would start using some kind of birth control. It isn't much fun having a baby at your age.

you have to have a clean break, cut off contact, go cold turkey effectively.

many people say that despite hating someone, they love them too... To me, that's not true love - if you really love someone, you just shouldn't be capable of hurting them in that way.

No matter how hard it is to hear, he sounds like someone you're really better off without, and the only way is to cut him out of your life completely....

It takes time and strength to move on, but you are way too young to consider him as the only possible choice for you
