Try Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin CD & book. He has four rules, and if you stick rigidly to them especially 2 & 4, it works.
1) Eat when you're hungry.
2) Eat consciously
3) Eat what you want
4) Stop when you're full.
So, 2. means eat slowly, concentrate on each mouthful -no TV, reading etc. while you're eating, and put your fork down between mouthfuls. This gives your stomach time to signal to your brain that it's full. (takes 20 minutes!)
I'm seeing my flab round my middle go, and can tighten up my belt a notch more than a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not dieting, but I am eating less.
Drink lots of water; don't be afraid to leave some food on your plate.
The book has brilliant strategies for distractions when you fancy chocolate or whatever, and for stopping you wanting to binge.
It's only £5.49 on Amazon, worth a try:

Have what you like once a week and the other days follow a healthy eating plan to allow you to have your treats and eat them too.
Alternatively you can have what you like but watch the portion size. Unfortunately that is not easy to do because some foods are very hard to limit once we get started.

there is a big difference between being thin and lean. a person can be thin yet still have a high percentage of body fat. once a person is lean (below than average body fat) it is very hard to gain a noticeable amount of body fat.
if you want to eat what you like you are going to have to work hard to get lean first.

Eat what you like and then be sure to burn off the extra calories with exercise. You need about 2500 calories daily to stay the same weight. Count what you eat then take off the excess plus to lose weight.

Cut everything into moderation! Find out how many calories you need to eat to lose weight, and start from there. If you want a pizza, instead of a whole pizza, get a slice. Etc.

You have to be me!
I'm 42, only just(!), I have NEVER eaten vegetables, nor fruit, I eat all the pastries and chocs, and burgers and fried food I like and have never put any weight on!
I know ladies, form a queue if you want to thump me!
Don't believe me, have a look at my photo on my 360 page.
I'm the officer on the Titanic picture.

Proportion is the key. You can not eat too much of anything. Instead of feeling full at meals or snack time, eat about 70% instead of 100%. You will keep your figure.
