I bought some basil on Monday to put on a pizza for today. The basil has gotten a bit wilty...is there a way I can refresh the leaves so I can use them tonight?

Submerge them in cold water for a few hours and they should perk right up.

Trim the ends off a little and put in a container of ice cold water. Should revive enough for use on your pizza.

Cut off the end of the stems, put them in a glass of cool water and stick them in the refrigerator for a hour or so.

just go ahead and let them sit out and dry a little, and you can still use them on pizza tonight. they don't have to be in pristine condition to be consumed

Basil is an extremely delicate plant.
As soon as you take it from the plant, leaves usually fade quickly.
