didnt write this to scare anyone or to force anyone to do anything, but the truth hurts, and I hope you all make the right descicions.
On October 9, it has come to my attention that Hip Hop and R&B, the music that we enjoy so much, is so evil that it has blinded us from actually seeing the truth!! YES!! THE MUSIC THAT WE ENJOY IS EVIL!! NO!!
ITS NOT ONLY ROCK MUSIC, BUT HIP HOP AND R&B!! Hip hop has so many subliminal messages in it and it is scary
because the messages are so obvious, but we are only figuring it out now because we just understood the
truth and when I first heard this, tears flowed out my eyes cause it is the horrifying truth.
Singers like Alicia keys, Jay z, deAngelo, india irie, snoop dog, erikah badu.........................etc . just read this u would see what am talkin about
You don't believe me? Just listen to the CD The Gray Album! Track 11, the interlude to Lucifer, Jay-Z or
should I say Jay-Hova (Jehoviah) says some pretty disturbing thing

Rap and Hip-Hop have always glorified evil and wrongdoing. Sad to say, that's nothing new.

1. Rap music has many more negative aspects than just this... that's just a minor thing. BUT, having lived in my share of piss-poor neighborhoods, I can understand fully where some of that comes from. I've seen some messed up things- including a gang hit that was pretty disturbing (his brains FLEW out the back of his head). Its art, and its a reflection of what the artist perceives.
2. I hate hip hop and r&b.
3. When rock music started doing this, there were a great deal of people opposed to it. So it came right out in the open. Would you rather people talk stupid backward, so you can't understand it, or would you rather they did it outright? I have a lot of albums where they talk about much worse things moving forward than anything Judas Priest ever recorded backward on one of his albums.
4. Not being a subscriber to the whole idea of good and evil, I look at it as either being stupid for shock value, or being totally serious in what they're saying. Usually in cases of Satanism or suicide, its there for shock. With other subjects, I feel there is an outlet being utilized by the artist, so they can say things that are disagreeable with people. In the case of electronic music, the voice is piped through a synthesizer and the words become an instrument in themselves (Skinny Puppy excels at this)- sometimes words aren't even being used.
5. When judging something like this, consider the source and the target market. Will the target market even care about some of this, or will they just listen to it while fishing, working, cleaning, drinking, etc... If its there, ok. Is the message even reaching anyone?
6. Why be scared? That's the intention! They WANT you to be afraid of something like this. In a lot of cases, religious groups will actually BUY these albums to prove their points (ahem... another target market). In many cases, this is an intended outcome. Negative attention drawn to this album will actually increase sales more than a music video. It becomes rebellious or taboo!
7. This truth does hurt, in the sense that people are such followers that they will buy some albums solely for this purpose, when actual musical value is not even considered... thus lowering our standards and allowing big record companies to profit and profit and profit until the little guys trying to bust into the music scene no longer can.
It's pretty sad, actually.

This all sprung up in the 50s and the reason "Rock'n'Roll" was evil was racism: white kids were listening to black music (and yes, ministers of the time stated as much). The whole thing is a crock, several "backward messages" and "subliminal messages" do not exist as claimed by the so-called Religious Right; and psychologists who have studied backward messages (the few which actually do exists and are well-known) have shown they have no impact on anyone. Maybe you should check out Zechariah 13:3 before making such claims.

Lol, I was watching some christian tv station on accident(they were playing a rammstein video) then they started talking about how music is a plot by satan to destroy the youth of the world.... What a funny crock of ****. I mean seriously you people believe this? You really think all these junkies and musicians really want to overthrow the world? They are people that don't look past their next fix or whatever vice they have. You give your belief in evil too much credit. They just like scaring you because it's so easy to do. Your faith is weak and you know it, you can't stand having your faith questioned that's why you so vehemently trash non believers on here.

hm... hip hop and rnb have never been entertaining to me. I prefer the good, wholesome sounds and lyrics of Slayer.
Anyway, you sound completely naive. Get a life.
