Teen bedding can sometimes be difficult to find, especially if you have a certain theme in mind - you might not be able to find the bedding for that particular theme.
Sometimes it's best to go with just colorful bedding, or bedding that matches the colors in the rooms theme. To make the bedding more fun, you can add lots of decorative pillows, a bed skirt or even a curtain / canopy that you can attach to the wall at the head of the bed.
If you do buy plain bedding but want to add some pizzaz without spending a lot of money, you can make it unique by sewing on lace edging, beaded fringe edging or unique buttons - or anything else you can think of!

Any website that has bedding should have choices suitable for a teenager as well. You can check the retail sites like Linens 'N Things (www.lnt.com) or manufacturers' sites. I personally like www.lawrencehome.com and if you look at their Maison de Vie collection you might like something like their Allure pattern or Transitions. Also, in their Bretton Manor collection, Gypsy is a popular choice for teens. Croscill has a couple of teen-suitable patterns too, and you might like Oceanview which can be seen on their site at www.croscill.com.
Chances are that you won't find anything you like in the "children's" sections because that stuff is really geared for the 4-10 yr old range.
If you find yourself really not sure of what you like, or unable to find something you like, you can always choose an inexpensive solid coloured comforter and also get some colourful pillows & throws to add vibrancy. Then if you find yourself wanting to change the throw, it's not nearly as costly as replacing all the bedding again.
Good luck.
