Well, I'm a guy and I can say honestly that jewelry doesn't mean a thing to me. I've been engaged twice and I spent about $7500 on each engagement ring that I purchased because I knew that jewelry was something that both of these women liked. I expected to spend more because of who they are. For me, I never got married to either girl but for a wedding band, I would just want some plain gold thing. I don't wear rings anyway so not sure how much I would even wear a wedding ring.

Just a suggestion, my husband has a 1/2 carat diamond wedding band, but I also got him a plain white gold band as well. This way, you don't risk the value of the diamond ring while doing particular activities (ie my husband does weight lifting and is a drummer).

I just got the Whitehall/Lundstron jewelers valentines catalogue today in it they have a few rings that you might be interested in

Titanium Band with black stripes on outside and 7 diamonds inset in a row 3/8 CT TW $599

Titanium brushed look inset wih 3 diamonds and shiny outside 1/5 CT TW $379

Tungsten brushed look inset with 1 diamond shiny outset $199.

They also have fancier rings, but I dont know how "fancy" you guy likes his jewelry.

Here is a link to the page in the catalogue http://www.whitehalljewelers.com/Shop_Online/valentines10.html

Good luck!

$400 should be enough. Men's rings aren't very expensive. Below is a link for a ring at Kay Jewelers that fits your description.

I got my husbands band from JC Pennys and it was about $300-$400 and had 3 dimonds in it. Look there and see what you like. They have a nice selection. I actually took him with me so that we would have matching bands, and he could try them on and see what he really likes.

Best wishes.

I agree...Kay Jewelers is a great place to purchase wedding bands. Nice website too. My fiancee let me pick out my engagement ring, and that's where I found it. I printed it out, and took it into the store. Took it home that day!

BJ's wholesale had some nice ones for like $200!!! They overstock from other companies.
Also try ebay.... if you buy a slighly used one- you can get them for $100... like the guy got it for christmas and never wore it.
Also try overstock.com they sometimes have good deals.

Oh honey you can find a really nice one for him under $400. (Isn't it amazing how much LESS expensive men's rings our than ours?) Madness!
www.kay.com
has some really nice ones.
I want my fiance to get one to match mine but he says he doens't like one with 'diamonds' because it looks 'fruity.' which i think is crap but oh well. he'll be wearing it.

This may sound weird, but have to look at places like K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Sears, etc. (the non-jewelry stores).

You should have no problem finding one in this price range at all! Look at department stores, and some jewellery stores.
