That is his way of letting you know that he does not like to be left alone my dog is the same way. I don't let her have the run of the house when I'm not home. You need to invest in eighter a kennel or pick a room that you don't care if you will have to replace something later and put him in there. Some people think kennels are cruel but they can be very affective if used occasionally

JRTs are bad *** dogs! If they don't get walked into exhaustion they will act out! So your friend or a dog walker needs to walk him for at least half an hour everyday and you need to walk him before leaving for work in the morning! Also, he should be confined to one room or area using a baby gate and provide him with kong toys filled with peanut butter and treats to keep him busy. You have a really tough dog to raise and let me tell ya...you're gonna be walking your butt off for a good many years to come! Do some research on JRTs and Pitts because he's gonna need alot of work. Did you realize what you were getting into? This is a prime example of getting a puppy cause he's cute, without thinking for one minute about the breed mix he is!

Honestly it is the fact that he is a puppy and you do not crate him. He may be suffering from separation anxiety as well, so the best thing to do is to crate him while noone is there. This will help enormously with the destruction aspect of the lil guy.

It sounds like the dog is having trouble being left alone and that is his or her way of getting even with you even though you have someone in there to play with the dog
when the person leaves it starts again so concider a dog sitter or take your dog to work with you if you can

Does he have bones to chew? Also, consider crating him. We have 2 dogs, one a 6 month old Eskimo. Both are in their crates at night, as well as when we are not home. Dogs learn to like them, it gives them a feel of security. Our dogs sometimes go in them when we are home and the crate door is open.

Obviously this is one bored puppy who's much too young to be left alone with the run of the house. Get a crate and keep him in it when no one's home until he's old enough to be left loose in the house.

You need to get a crate for your dog. This is for his own safety - dogs have died slow, terribly painful deaths from getting in to things that they shouldn't when they're left unsupervised. Your dog has clearly shown you that he is not ready to be left alone, and will continue to destroy your belongings and possibly himself if you don't crate him when he can't be supervised. All of this could have been prevented if you had confined him!

he is oviously a very bored dog during the time he is left alone. you can take your dogs places were they stay throughtout the day though. or just ask more people to check on him wilst your not there. he shouldnt be left alone at such a young age he may badly injure himself...good luck.

your dog has a lot of 'nervous' energy--she needs to be be outside a lot, running and playing, dont leave her near your furniture, i dont like crates, so leave her in the bathroom when you're gone, w/ toys, and water.W/ mabey an old rug she can enjoy tearing up.
