I feel like I have a splinter in my thumb, but I cannot find anything and it seems to come and go. Could a pinched nerve cause my finger to feel like it has a splinter in it?

Yes. In fact, my mother used to have a pinched nerve in her back that would cause one of her toes to feel like it had a needle jabbing it.

No its unlikely to be due to a pinched nerve. Splinters can go in deep and show no sign on the surface.

If it's a splinter apply regular school glue & let it dry, then when it's dry peel it off & see if the splinter comes out.
