We don't have "great power". We are just human beings, the sum total of our nature & nurture, life support systems for our brains, which are all we are. Everything we do, every decision we think we make, everything we think we control, is a reaction to external events, processed by the brain. When the brain goes, we go, which is one of the things that makes Alzheimer's so very disturbing.
Our great responsibility is to come to terms with our own existence, and our own mortality, and live our lives. It isn't a very difficult thing to do. You're born, you live, you die. I don't see a god in there, any more than I see a god in the life of my bunny here, or an ant, or a tree.

It's called personal responsibility - something notably lacking in today's society. When we do something wrong, we need to be accountable for our own actions. Today's society tends to blame parents for upbringing, McDonalds for putting fat into fried foods, etc. Don't eat at McDonalds. If your parents did not treat you well, that does not give you license to treat others that way. We, as humans, don't like to think we are wrong. We don't like it when others tell us about things we did that were harmful or disrespectful. We try to place blame elsewhere, instead of right where it belongs, on ourselves.

first of all, this quote is not from the bible, and so is not attributed to god or any religion. secondly, in the book of genesis, god grants man free will. this means we make our own choices, and live with the consequences of our actions, good or bad. this is the essence of responsibility.

Out of love, he gives us that responsibility/freedom. He then can see what 'we' do with it and our obedience to him.
May you receive today a large pleasant surprise to God's glory!!!!

because god does not have the wisdom of "uncle ben" to shape him and mold him into a responsible young deity.
he let that burglar get away and didn't care because there was no uncle ben to be killed for him to see the error of his ways.

Because we are supposed to be caretakers of this planet, and so long as we turn to him he will give us strength. We are only weak if we choose to follow our own path.

We were all made in God's image.
Accordingly, we can do anything God can do.
All it takes is faith.
Faith is weakened by sin, so no one will ever have enough faith to be God, with the exception of Jesus Christ.
